Lloyd Kurtz secretary of the board is shown presenting it. The hospital is moving ahead on the electronic health record program. The next step is that of the nurses' documentation. Administrator Joyce Schulte said, although nurses are reluctant to change, if it is a good product they will like it. It is totally different than the way things have been done in the past. There will be a lot of education needed. The most important part of the change is to get good software. The nursing and pharmacy programs are what need to be done in the future said Regional Director Mike Frost. The board discussed the need to have better landscaping of the hospital. The dandelions have been sprayed and some bushes have been trimmed. The elm tree saplings will be removed. They discussed the possibility of a water well.
Board members were asked to sign HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) statements. After that, the board went into an executive session concerning real estate.
There will be a reception to thank Chuck Westin for his help. It will be in the Education Room at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
